Did anyone else see the pic in today's (wed) Daily Mail, of the armed
policeman covering the Queen Mothers doo at the Abbey?????
Could you please tell me what the weapon was?????? it looked like a SMG,
with side folding stock, M16 type flashhider and carrying handle, and the
mag looked about 5.56mm size..... furniture was black plastic, and the
forend looked almost square section......
I thought I was fairly well up on military/police weapons, but this one has
me stumped!!!!

It sounds like a Heckler & Koch G36K, there are pictures on their
