From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Good news! The HO has at last backed down and agreed to pay for the barrel weight attached to my .22 target pistol. Having argued for many, many months that it was not covered by the terms of the scheme, the HO eventually conceded that the weight would have increased the value of my pistol, and should therefore qualify for compensation. Several months ago, I blocked the HO's attempted "unilateral payment" in protest at its refusal pay for the weight, but I don't whether my action influenced its decision to relent in any way. In the light of my experience, those who had their claims for similar accessories rejected may wish to contact the HO again.
