All well & good, but this is a non starter, for one thing, if we
made as much noise as some of the more vociferous minority groups,
you can bet your neck, that all the sh--e hawks who have attacked us
in the past, would have 100's of new members, 1/2 pint Marshall
Andrews would be able to move her group, out of their telephone box
into some plush office provide by some of our best fish & chip
wrappers. The new outcry would be worse than the ones we've already
endured. The ACPO would start demanding all Certificate holders,
would have to be physologicly profiled & new checks every six months.
ACCEPT IT YOU WILL NEVER GET ANY GOVERNMENT, NEWSPAPERS OR THE ACPO
TO LOSE FACE. ESPECIALLY AFTER ALL THAT CRAP THEY'VE SHOVELED INTO
THE EARS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC, OVER THE LAST 3 YEARS.
The only way, will be having the 98 act declared illegal by the
European courts & don't hold your breath over that either. Bribery &
corruption far outweigh any chance of any win.
All any politician, ACPO member or EU Official is interested is
POWER, POWER OVER THE REST OF US, THEY DON'T GIVE A SH--E WHAT YOU
WANT, UNLESS THERE'S SOMETHING IN IT FOR THEM.
THE ONLY TRUE WAY, IS TO KEEP POUNDING AWAY TO REINSTATE OUR OLD
BILL OF RIGHTS, IF ENOUGH OF THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN BULLSHITTED,
REALISE HOW MUCH OF THEIR RIGHTS HAVE BEEN ERODED AWAY & THEY JOIN
IN THE VOCALISATION THEN WE MIGHT GET SOME WHERE, EVEN 1/2 PINT
ANDREWS WOULD HAVE A HARD TIME TRYING TO SUPPRESS OUR BILL OF RIGHTS.
As for coppers & their attitude to civilians, IVE SEEN IT. I worked
on a Fire Station for 30 years, the local edition of Croppers End
was in the next building, we shared the same drill yard. Young
coppers on their first posting after training school, could be quite
friendly & socialble, but by the time their probation period was up,
they had without exception turned into right arrogant little
barstewards, would no longer associate with us common Firemen, they
would strut round the town like little peacocks, then if they got
into cars or on motobykes they became MKI POSERS & talk about pissed
with their own importance. Some of them would even chase off after
us, if we had the blue light on, more than once they've had to be
told to bugger of out of it, that the senior Fire Officer at any
incident is in charge of every thing. If that didn't work a good
degging with a 1" jet worked wonders. These days if I saw a copper
on fire, I wouldn't piss on him to put it out.
IF YOU WANT RESPECT, THEN BLOODY WELL EARN IT. Stop using the bluff
act, use common sense, treat people with the respect they deserve,
were are not all criminals.
