I've got a copy of the Home Office guidence to the Police 
which they faxed me in Jan 99. It includes the complete 
list of obsolete chamberings. If any one wants it mail me. 
I've already sent a copy to Andrew.

There are two lists, the one for antiques and the one
for Section 7(1) firearms.  The second one is an SI and
is on the HMSO website.  The first one was supposed to
be changed after the FCC recommendation, I assume that
is the one Andrew is referring to.
