Steve,
I see the BATF have altered their FFL eZ Check
verification system already. I checked my 03 license
on Saturday last after Bill Clinton made his radio
address expounding the merits of this system and I came up
correctly, as printed on my license.
I now see that they have changed the URL and
you cannot do checks on 03 licensees, and when you do it
comes back as being a void license.
The new URL is http://204.254.113.252/

That's a bit silly, surely it should just come up with a
Privacy Act warning instead, i.e., this is a valid number
but we can't tell you who holds the license?
03 licenses are for collectors of curios and relics, BTW.
What happens if someone tries to buy a C&R off an FFL
dealer, and the dealer tries to check the number?
I know, it's a Clinton/ATF conspiracy to nobble C&R
collectors! Call the NRA! Call the GOA!! Someone
