>Well, allow me to put a new roll of caps in my cap gun.<

Well at least put them in a Sharps carbine (sorry - these days we're
supposed to call them gallery rifles) to show you mean business...

>Am I gonna believe that you guys still slap each other with gloves
and proceed to the nearest park or 'green' and duel it out with pistols or
swords of your choice?!! <snort!!><

Nope, sorry ET, they spoiled that bit of fun in the 1800's, as it was
bumping off too many of the idiot class who made the rules, and not enough
of the plebs, who were practising (dashed unsporting, that).

."If there is any relevance to the present UK society, then wake
me up and tell me.In any case, you can't really go back much further than
the wild west days, as your native peoples didn't keep recorded history,
did they?"<

Call me a pedant IG, but I think you'll find they did; it's just that the
recent ancestors of the current incumbents were better at killing them off,
including most of their archivists (or as they were known, history or story
keepers or words to that effect).

Still, I am glad to see the 19th century tradition of newspaper firearms
rant is being kept alive...
-
- just makes me glad every time to weigh out those individual black powder
charges...
