'Four dead' after shooting in Surrey

Four people are feared dead following a shooting incident
in Surrey.

Barbara MacDonald, chief reporter at the Camberley News,
said the shooting took place at Heathside, an affluent
estate on the outskirts of Camberley.

It was believed to involve a mother and father and two
children.

Sky News reported that the dead were two adults and two
children, although police refused to confirm this.

A spokeswoman for Surrey Police said: "We are investigating
a shooting at an address in Camberley at which there are
fatalities. We cannot confirm how many people have died."

Surrey Ambulance Service said it had not been alerted to
the incident.

Forensic officers were understood to be at the scene in
the Heatherside district of Camberley.

Ms MacDonald added: "Police cordoned off the estate this
morning at 9.30am. They completely sealed it off and were
not allowing anybody onto the estate.

"It's a fairly small estate of 30 to 40 houses and as far
as I'm aware there are not armed police there."

Neighbours said the post, newspapers, milk had not been
collected for several days, raising concern about the
safety of the family.
