During the Pistol bans Winston Churchill's Boer War Broomhandled Mauser was "handed in" (from a private collection I assume) & was subsequently witnessed being crushed! (same source as before) Is there any truth behind this one? Surely if this is true then it is a crime against history itself, as destroying antiques deliberately is also.
