From: Alasdair Carter, [EMAIL PROTECTED] >So long as the Police collectively continue to promote gun control policies >that have been an abject and total, destructive failure for 80 years in the >UK (as well as everywhere else where they have been applied), then I have >absolutely no faith that they, as an organisation, are able to (or even wish >to) allocate their vast resources in a rational and productive way. I think I would settle for the Police actually channelling their energies into upholding the law instead of involving themselves in political campaigns. Which is all ACPO and the PSA appear to do in my eyes. As for self defence in the home I would be quite happy to settled for the right to use an incapacitant spray similar to that of the local Constabulary here. Like in the US where people are issued CCW permits, I would be more than happy to attend and pay for a Police run course in its use. - -- Alasdair Carter -- I was disappointed no-one asked on Question Time last night why non-lethal weapons were prohibited. I wanted to see Geoff Hoon try and talk around it. Steve. -------[Cybershooters contacts]-------- Editor: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Website & subscription info: www.cybershooters.org
