I caught the tail end of a report on Radio Scotland about the MMM. They
were interviewing one of the Dunblane mums and her comment went something
like:
"We understand that the US has a different culture and that people feel they
need guns to protect their families but can they not be honest and register
the guns."
I have paraphrased the comment from memory but the comment about "being
honest" stuck in my mind. You can see the mindset where they cannot imagine
a country where you are not required to beg the government to allow you to do
something.
The total disconnect from reality is also breathtaking. Gun owner sees
person associated with endorsing/promoting a national gun confiscation scheme
endorsing a registration scheme and the person cannot see why the gun owner
might be reluctant to go along with the proposed registration scheme!!!!
