I don't give Mr Martin much chance if that was a newspaper
headline being quoted, ie; Farmer who murdered teen-aged
burglar begins freedom bid.  It seems the press is already
biased.  It should have read "Farmer who shot burglar, or
Farmer who killed burglar.  By the very construction of the
headline they are saying that he is a murderer and he shot
a child.  Neither of which is intended to gain any
sympathy.  I wonder what would have been said if this
teen-ager had bashed Mr. Martin's head in with one of the
weapons he was carrying.  If one's home has been broken
into numerous times, one is bound to become paranoid and
bitter.  That this was used against him in court is an
example of how lawyers can twist things.  The truth can
be told in many ways.
