Definitely a blood bath brewing here, I served with some of those _white
boys_ from the Seventies, they don't shrink from a fight and they have
nowhere else to retreat to. Did anyone see one of the news programmes
yesterday ? A reporter from Sierra Leone was interviewing locals in
Matabeleland and to a man they were all saying they were better off under
_white rule_.
Mugabe is playing with fire ... big time ... his power base, the Shona, are
mere farmers and despite the fact that they are in the majority they only
have the political power. The Ndebele, on the other hand, are the warriors
so Mugabe either has to unleash the fifth brigade to wipe every Ndebele out
... man, woman and child ... or the I could see the formation of the old
Rhodesia with the black (Ndebele) and the whites working together again to
get rid of another African despot.
At the very least Mugabe has wrecked what was the bread basket of Africa and
it looks like he is determined to create famine on a scale southern Africa
has never seen before. Bottom line ... the U.K. needs to step in and sort
out this nutter ... we have a major a share in the responsibility for this
mess.
I'm just happy to know that some of my guns are still there to be used in
_honourable service_ once again. Please write letters to the PM in support
of the people, black and white, that this country abandoned to nutters like
Mugabe and ask Tony BLiar what plans his government has to sort out this
mess.
