Yep, I stand corrected - info's from britannica.com -
George V was the King during the Great War and his wife was Queen Mary.
George V's eldest son became Edward VIII and abdicated to marry
Wallis Simpson and then became the Duke of Windsor.
George V's second eldest son became George VI and was King during
WW2 and his wife was Elizabeth, now known as Queen Elisabeth the
Queen Mother.
George VI's eldest daughter became Elizabeth II and is currently
Queen.
I think my confusion arose from the fact that the "Queen Mother"
as she's usually called is actually Queen Elizabeth the mother of
Queen Elizabeth II.
