Sounds decidedly dodgy to me. The Police apparently knew
the Guy had just bought an airgun, which would have been 12
ft/lbs so there was little or no risk to anyone, so they shot
him. This is getting scary folks.

What kind of information did the police have? If they knew it was an airsoft gun,
that does sound pretty irresponsible.
