What about the old Gyrojet, now that was an interesting gun!

As someone (not me!) very wisely said about the Gyrojet:
Better a $500 gun shooting 50cent ammunition than a $150 gun
shooting $5 ammunition.
The Gyrojet was a great answer looking for a question:
No muzzle energy worth speaking about.
A Mettoy type pistol (or projector as I think they were called).
Iffy accuracy.
Fiercly incendiary ammunition.
And for only $5 a bang.
It must also be the only gun in history that made the
ammunition fire by banging it on the nose.
