Well, not fishing, just shooting (for a change) <g>. I'll be away for
a few days, so please send any fieldsports-related articles to
steve <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

I'll catch up with list admin when I get back, but if you want to
subscribe or unsubscribe, please read the instructions in the FAQ

1. What is Cybershooters?

Cybershooters is a moderated email publication with the following
objectives:

- to publish information which is relevant to the campaign
against unreasonable UK and world-wide gun controls;
- to provide a co-ordination forum for UK and overseas shooters
and shooting organisations;
- to disseminate other information of general interest to
shooters and gun owners.

Cybershooters is an independent publication, neither owned by nor
affiliated to any shooting organisation. Regular correspondents
include members and representatives of the major UK shooting
organisations.

2. Is the published material "moderated" or edited?

Yes.

3. How should I submit news or information for publication?

Send correctly formatted articles by email to the editor, Steve
Kendrick, whose address is <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

Articles for publication should contain only plain US-ASCII text
(with no symbol characters, pound signs, etc. and no
"attachments", whether text or binary). Text should be formatted
to a maximum line length of 65 characters (including spaces) and
lines should not start or end with a space character.

4. What sort of information should I submit for publication?

The editor welcomes articles containing factual information or
news relevant to the objectives of the mailing list (see above).
Please be brief and, where possible, please identify the source
of the information. Don't be offended if the editor doesn't
immediately select your article for publication - he may use it
in a later article or editorial. Please do make sure that
articles for publication are correctly formatted in plain
US-ASCII text with no more than 65 characters per line.

Please don't forward chain letters or similar junk mail.
Cybershooters is not a Usenet or CompuServe discussion forum, so
if you wish to respond to the author of a published article, you
should normally do so by private email.

5. May I copy and re-publish material from Cybershooters?

Cybershooters is an electronic publication. The editor reserves
copyright and publication rights over all published articles
including any which are submitted by subscribers. Unless
otherwise indicated in the article, you must obtain permission
from the editor or administrator to copy, redistribute or forward
articles to other persons or mailing lists.

6. I'm not receiving any Cybershooters articles, what's wrong?

Cybershooters and Internet email are free, but by no means
fault-free. The usual problems are temporary network faults or a
full mailbox which causes email messages to "bounce" back to the
sender. We do not attempt to re-transmit failed messages. If the
problem persists we generally remove the faulty address from the
mailing list. In many cases we have no way of contacting
subscribers except by email, so we have to wait for the
subscriber to let us know when he/she is back online.

7. How do I subscribe to or unsubscribe from the list?

To subscribe, send email from the address at which you would like
to receive Cybershooters articles to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> with
no subject and the command:

subscribe cybershooters

as the first and only line in the message body. After a bit of
messing about with confirmation passwords, etc. (to ensure your
email address is correct) you should receive a confirmation from
the list server including a short version of this FAQ.

To remove your address from this mailing list, send an email as
above, but with the command:

unsubscribe cybershooters

If you have problems subscribing or unsubscribing, send email to
the administrator.
