There we have it gentlemen, from the president of the law society himself

Creep downstairs, go up behind them, shout BOO! then whack them when they
turn round and we'll all see you down the pub for a celebration drink on
your aquittal.
The more people try to explain themselves round this problem the more they
end up disappearing up their own orifice.

This case and its implications were discussed at some length on tonights
Question Time on BBC 1.
A large part of the discussion centered around mandatory life sentences for
murder and the rights and wrongs of this restriction on judges.

However this weeks "Hypocrite of the Week" award goes to Geoff Hoo ( I
should apologise if I've spelt his name wrong and if I gave a rats I would)
from the defence ministry.
"I don't think we should rush in to change the law on something like this as
an emotional response, it needs much careful thought and discussion"
Not word for word but close enough.
The queue of shooters wishing to kick him where he keeps his brains is no
doubt already causing traffic chaos in parliment square.

Actually his comments on gun ownership were more worrying, given that
he is the Minister of Defence. It is not a wonder no-one wants to
join up with an anti-gun nutter like that in charge.

Steve.
