CAUSE The above error may occur if you did all of the following: You created a transform (.mst) with the Custom Installation Wizard (CIW). In the CIW, you set the FrontPage feature in the Set Feature Installation States dialog box to Not Available. You installed Office using this transform. You then added FrontPage to your Office installation through Maintenance Mode Setup. RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a). To obtain SR-1/SR-1a, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: Q245025 OFF2000: How to Obtain and Install Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a) To temporarily work around this problem, please do the following: In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs. Double-click the Office 2000 item in the list of installed programs. Click Add or Remove Features in the Microsoft Office 2000 Maintenance Mode dialog box. Click the list for FrontPage and change the installation state to Run all from My Computer. Click Update Now. Start FrontPage. STATUS Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
