The Bearded Knight was doing all he could
do holding on to your rear wheel on that final sprint Saturday. Chris is da

saturday ride sucked. i didn't
realize we had some freakin pro riders in wilson .
vino, chris and the bearded knight rode like crazy and the bearded knight was
on his single speed stallion. lindsey kept in their draft and jim and i
suckered vino from the back. coming up the final hill on airport rd
towards nash st, vino was the last one up, so he got to here the
"bell". then, those four caught a doping jim davis (he cut thru the food lion
shopping
center parking lot) on nash st before we hit starbucks.

not to worry. rehydrated at unc v.
notre dame tailgate. Go Heels!

Subject: [COWs] Sunday Ride
Reports!
Sunday morning, Jim, Doc & I rode the 30 mile Town Creek
loop. No ego’s on Sunday as we just settled in for a nice brisk enjoyable
pace. I just didn’t have enough gears to keep up with Doc’s 28 mph
tailwind pace. Great ride!

Sunday afternoon Kim, David D. and I also rode the 30 mile
Town Creek loop. A popular ride during north east winds. Kim not
having a working bike computer and doesn’t realize she kept a good 20 mph pace
during her time out front. Another great ride and the winds again made
for a good workout, just ask David. It was strange riding with Kim
without some granola in my back pocket! No complaining, just an
observation.

I’ll let someone else describe the Saturday ride.

Tim
