David:

I'm heading out of town this Wednesday but if you're around next week,
I'll give it a try.

I just want to say for the record that, "Chris started it."  (And,
the men blew by me at the end.)  I got home literally two minutes before the
bus got there to drop off my boys.  Whew, thank goodness for the tailwind..

would feel really bad about it.But I just could not help myself with a slight
tale wind and feeling warm and loose I just had to go go go go.That was a lot of
fun. Thanks for showing up it made for a great ride.My brother-in-law was sitting
at the school waiting for kids to get out when he thought he heard a train roar
into town.LOL Chris H.

> As I'm sitting here with my recovery beverage, pondering today's
ride, it occurs to me that "recovery ride" or "tapering"
have no meaning whatsoever. I was still recovering from yesterdays ride so I did
my part in keeping the pace down today.  On the other hand, I under estimated
our route mileage today by 3 or 4 miles which made both Kinnie and Chris late.
So the final 7 miles Chris "Turbo" Hawley and Kinnie both pulled at 24
to 25 mph.  Kim and I were just holding on the best we could.  I guess it was
my fault on the mileage estimate, but I think they were just looking for an
excuse.  We ended up with 37 miles.  The first 30 were really nice and I have
to say I enjoyed the last 7 miles as well.  I may just need one more recovery
drink though!  That is one sweet looking "Cervelo"!
