As all of you know the tornado on Saturday morning left a path of destruction like most of us have never seen. Some of our neighbors have been left without homes, and some lost nearly all of their personal possessions. In addition to those things, the family Joshua Wiggins lost a grandson. Joshua was 11 years old and a student at Toisnot Middle School. His grandmother and grandfather have experienced tough times before. Joshua's mother was murdered 3 years ago. My heart goes out to all the families that are suffering from this storm. For Mr. and Mrs. Guillen, Joshua's grandparents, my heart weeps. I would like to invite all of you to help this man and woman, some of our neighbors, to put their lives back together. We will be having a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A Friday from 6:30am til 10:00pm with 10% of the sales being donated to this family. If you cannot make it this Friday, any catering orders placed this week (even for future caterings) will go toward our total for the fundraiser. For this family, I hope I see all of you this Friday. Bring your friends, your co-workers, and your family to buy lots of chicken, calendars, Chick-fil-A trays and gift cards. There is also a fund in his memory at State Employees Credit Union in which you can donate directly. That is absolutely the best option, 100% of that money goes to the family. What can you do today to make a difference in this family's life?
