Sorry to leave you hanging. There was no bone crushing and I did not crash in the grass; squeezed between the mailbox and SUV, then off the road and on again. But the legs were very wobbly for about a mile after that. It's not much fun looking into the grill of an SUV. Guess that's why we don't ride "into traffic!" I waved at the driver before they started to pass; didn't stop them though. kp
