Tim,
Are there any bailouts on the route?  I need to be at the YMCA pool by 11:00

Great!  As route leader, I’ll take a page from the Goldsboro double century ride.  Pace is +/-18 mph depending on hills and wind direction.  Anyone riding faster is welcome to do so but you don’t know the route so good luck as most of you will be riding in unfamiliar territory.  The route is mainly flat with a few hills between Princeton and Kenly but not nearly the magnitude as the Middlesex area.  Even at this pace with a biscuit stop, we’ll still be back before noon.  Anyone caught doing 20+ better be coasting or I’ll hand feed you to my favorite Rottweiler.  Seyboro club can do this pace and keep 40+ happy riders together.

sounds good and looks like we have a leader.  tim - get your gang if you can and we could have 10+ riders.  GROUP pace.  every now and then, riding should be about fun, not killing each other.

I have a route from Wilson to Lucama out Little Rock Church Rd. to 581, South 581 to Pike's Crossroads, then right towards Princeton.  Then from Princeton up to Kenly, and back to Wilson via St. Mary's Church road.  That route is 63 miles.  That is a good route for SW winds.  Food in Kenly.
