Jim, Kevin, Cynthia: This is a key issue regarding the $50 fee for registering in the Whirligig ride. I think it will turn away "would be" riders especially those from other cities. If it was an error, a correction needs to be made and printed in the WDT. In my opinion, even $30 is a little steep for this event.
