Subject : RE: [COWs] Pinehurst Triathlon

While you guys were having a nice group ride sat I was getting my butt kicked
in Pinehurst. One
of the toughest 30 mile rides I have done (hills and head wind) and by far the
toughest run I have
ever run...who would think Pinehurst would be that hilly? I was very pleased
with my results
though....

Swim: 32:19
Bike: 1:24:29 (my computer avg. 21.2)
Run: 55:29 (need some work)

Overall Male: 95 of 489

My swim was ok. goggles fogged and I could not seem to get away from the other
swimmers. My ride
felt great, but if only I had a nice bike. maybe one day! my run needs lots of
work, but those
hills were brutal.

Big thanks to David W. for letting me use his wetsuit. Bert for all the pool
advice and push.
COWs for the group rides while i was training.

Congratulations to Jon Anderson:
2009 North Carolina Triathlon Series winner in his age group 20-24

....

...yep, 4 nevers taken away from this
weekends rides:

1: never discuss pace or lack thereof
2: never burn out on a sprint
    midway thru a ride/rule#67
3: never show up w/ a dirty bike
4: never think you can go faster than
a mature gentleman who has 10+
    yrs experience on the cycle
