He swore he couldn't do it, but he stayed right on my back tire for every mile. I think he is ready to ride with the group, but he keeps saying he can't hang. After today . . . no excuses. We kept a steady pace, averaging 18 mph. The last 20 miles threw us a headwind, which dropped the average a little.
