John o and I joined 3 others in Raleigh for a ride up to Leasburg, N.C. 35 miles of conversation pace with nice temps to start. The hills were endless as well as the views. Then the clouds parted and the sun appeared. The heat was on and the thermostat broke! Finally at mile 102 relief came with heavy winds and rain. Temps dropped 20 degrees but the last 28 miles had to ridden in the rain. Rain was good except for the 30+ mph downhills where it stings a bit. 130 miles for the day with 6,000 feet of climbs. tim
