Jeff, gotta agree with Jim. That was an outstanding report...except for
the very last sentence. :) Keep up the great work!

Intermediate mountain stage today 179km, Chambery to Gap.
Sergio Paulinho - Radioshack, won today's stage. With Lance no longer a
serious threat it gave the team something to be happy about.

No big changes in the overall, Schleck still has a 41 second
lead over Contador while Gonzalez is 2:45 back in 3 rd followed by
Menchov at 2:58 in 4th. Levi Leipheimer is 6 th 3:59 behind Ivan Basso
is 10 th 5:09 behind, Sastre, Wiggins and Evans are 16, 17 and 18
respectively 7:13, 7:18 and 7:47 back. Just for fun, Lance is up to 31
st but over 17 minutes off the pace. If this is going to be anything
other than an Andy vs. Alberto race it is time for the challenger to
make their move. Some think Alberto is laying back waiting to take the
lead in the Time Trial. Youth vs. strategy is the story here.

For the green jersey; Thor will keep the jersey for another day
but he missed some points today. He now has an 8 point lead over
Alessandro Petacchi. Robbie McEwen is third, 21 points behind Thor.
Cavendish is 43 points back.

The polka dot jersey is getting interesting; Jerome Pineau will
still be in the jersey tomorrow but he only has a one point lead over
Anthony Charteau. Third place Christohe Moreau is 29 points back. This
is the hot race for the next few days.

Team Notes: Saxo Bank holds yellow and polka dot jerseys again
tomorrow. Caisse d'Epargne leads all teams with Radioshack 0:31 back at
number 2. Astana is 3 14:54 back. Even with Lances woes and Alberto's
performance Radioshack is showing some strength as a team, could win the
team classification.

on. http://www.cyclingnews.com/

Somebody who knows more about this than me needs to pick this
up.

        Jeff,
So what are the results for the days racing so far?
        _______________________________________________
Sorry Kim, I failed to include kit fashion in my "analysis":

        1. Cervelo Test Team appears to be the best dressed on the
Tour this year. I like their all black better (surprise) but it is hot
and the white reverse is cooler.
        2. Saxo Bank is a close second
        3. Liquigas in day glow green, is third. No way to miss
seeing them, might need one of those jerseys for the Day Break ride.
