Bob, glad to hear you are ok. To be honest this just makes me want to stay off the road bike any more. Seems like some idiots out there just aren't getting it.
The last ride (mtb) Cynthia and I did in Greenville I rode along side a doe to see who was fastest. Then almost to the end of the trail I spook a buck who was walking on the trail...he litterly dropped a load. This was my first crash and, since I went over the bars and landed on my helmet, it could have been much worse. I survived well with only minor road rash on my shoulder and soreness in my shoulder and wrist. The head is too hard to have any damage (thanks to the helmet too). I'm planning on sending a letter to Mr. Bailey in hopes that he will cover the cost of replacing the helmet. I will hold Nick's offer in abeyance. My biggest problem was Mr. Bailey's attitude. He never checked on my condition and then laughed as we were leaving. I felt like letting loose on him, but opted to just ride away. Thanks to Jim for the big pull yesterday. I pulled off on Hornes Church after taking the leadout and never got back to the front.
