I had to throw in a couple of rough tops because RUSA reviews the routes and there can be no short cuts. This route only has 750 feet of total climb which is probably one of the wimpiest routes in N.C., so I had to give them at least one good hill.

I had created a route and got it approved through RUSA that starts in Nashville and ventures to Bailey then to the Whirligigs and on to Lucama, then back to Nashville. RUSA big dogs Mike and Dean from Raleigh joined John and I for the inaugural ride. Started cold, remained cold and finished cold. We finished up around 2:00 and had lunch in Nashville just before it started to snow. Didn't realize until I got home that I bested 14,000 miles in 2010 today.
