Tim L, NY Jon and DC headed out from OSB at 12noon Sat for the pre ride-ride. Did the New Year’s Day ride with a few extra miles. 26 total. Re-fueled at Bojangles with a big glass of sweet tea and chicken. Most of the conversation was about Tims crazy long rides….Jon and I both agree Tim is da man, nuts but still da man.
Waited at “Texaco” for the 2pm group. Jim, Nick, Surfdude out of hibernation, the 3 pre riders and I feel like I have missed someone? Second ride was about 27 miles. Out 58, bend of the river and back Elm City. Nick feeling good took an early sprint….both DC and Dan just knew he would not hold that pace, but he did all the way to London Church. Then Nick again took us up the hill to airport…he said it was his run he did with his wife Sunday morning that gave him the energy….I think we all need to start doing a pre-run.
