For the 2nd annual "Blood, Sweat and Beers" ride. Those flatlanders of us that didn't train for 6 mths to ride up the side of a mountain last year, had an enjoyable ride (100k or so) in Wilson. I'm happy to announce we're holding this ride again and since everyone, but Ronnie, got closed out of BSG, I'm hoping you'll join us.
The ride features such legendary climbs as "I-95 overpass", "Hwy 64 Overpass", "Hwy 264 Overpass" and that mountain that has been known to make riders shake in their boots, "Potato Hill". (We took out Conner Hill because we didn't want anyone to have to train for this ride.) But, no SAG stops, no jerseys or t-shirts, no cool water bottle and no photographer waiting to snap your pic as you climb. If Kim rides, we can get her to take a group photo. On the plus side, no entry fee, no hotel bills, no "scouting" rides and no months of training. So, whatever the date is that Ronnie will be doing his best Andy Schleck impression, we'll have a nice 100k ride in town. As ride director, I'll provide doughnuts at the start.
