.....

...maybe be best to establish some times asap.

accuweather site shows sat am chilly and ~53deg 1pm and after.

http://www.accuweather.com/us/nc/wilson/27893/forecast-hourly.asp?fday=4

That is not too bad. Low wind totals so far also.

I would suggest to establish the sat ride for 1pm for sure.

Since the sunday ride is always @ 2pm, that is when to start.

If you are interested, post your intentions so everyone will know

what to expect as far as organizing the 'b' group. I will be out this

weekend but will help any way I can. mapmyride.com has great routes

already posted around the city. Would be a great place to ck out

and get a feel for the roads/rides. And maybe the 'b' group should

set a goal for ~15-25mile ride for it 1st, group consensus. Not that

tough to go 20miles @ 15mph.

I think the 'b' ride group has a real good possibility of outnumbering

the 'a' ride group. Strength in numbers, oh my.

feb 26 and feb 27 paced rides

old starbucks: nash st n

sat: 1pm

sun: 2pm

...Seems to be a lot of interest. Maybe this weekend can be

a good start to many of you who have always wanted to ride

but just couldn't get out the door. Good weather, paced rides.

If you have never ridden paceline here is an article describing:

http://www.bicycling.com/training-nutrition/training-fitness/9-paceline-rule
s

it is really easy but there are a few rules of etiquette to pay attention
too.

Road cycling is a great/fun experience and as anything new just takes a

while to get conditioned for and learn its nuances. Paceline stay together.

The purpose of a paceline is for all to ride together. If you want to ride
faster

then consider the "a" group which will test your limits in the 19+mph ride.
The

"b" group is for those willing to maintain the 14-18mph pace. Choose

accordingly.

Again, looks like many of you want to ride. Follow the ggroups and maybe it

will come together this weekend for a successful 'b' group to materialize.
If

your bike needs a tuneup before sat/sun NOW is a great time to go and do.
Don's

Bike shop is a really easy local place to do this. He checked my bike out
after

the accident at no fee...he said he does that for bike accidents. That was
cool.

Remember, all you have to do is walk out the door! The rest is easy.

The usual times to meet @ old starbucks(nash st n)

sat: 9:30am or 1pm ****depending on consensus

sun: 2pm (always)

I plan on riding this year with you guys as well. I have followed the group

forward to it......
