Seven riders left OSB for a leisurely paced ride on a fantastic day for a ride.
James, Pete, Jeff, Derek, big Bob, Bob L and Jennifer headed for the
Whirligigs via Packhouse/Bloomery/Lamm/Wiggins Mill. Once past the Whirligigs,
the steady headwind turned to our backs and made for an even more pleasant ride
back to OSB. No King of the Mountain points on today’s ride, but James took
the green jersey on Downing Street. 33 miles at an average speed of about 16.7
mph. We could not have asked for a better ride. Thanks to James for serving
as tour guide and everyone for their contributions to the workload. Oh, and
thanks to Birthday boy Bert for the impetus for the B rides this weekend.
