It's legal on 264 alternate as far as I know.  Not on interstates.  To my
knowledge (and I have to say in all embarassing honesty from personal
experience) you can not ride on interstates and will get pulled over and taken
in for doing so if you do not listen to the police when they tell you to "Take
the next exit and stay off the interstate!" over their loudspeaker.

We live in Walstonburg so we are constantly on the divided, limited
access Hwy 264 and recently my family has seen a cyclist on Hwy 264 a
couple times now. Not just someone peddling along but an actual
cyclist (full kit, etc.) My driving education from years ago has me
believing that cyclists aren't legally allowed on this type of road.
Not sure why you would want to be on the side of the highway with cars
buzzing by at 70+ mph but I suppose that's their choice. Doesn't seem
safe to me, but is it legal?
