Bert,

Thanks for the picture and article.  I had not seen anything on the shipment prior to this.  Parts like this are why I haven't been riding this week...I'm working second shift supporting Operations.

Big shipment heads to port

NEWS-TIMES

Published: Wednesday, April 20, 2011 1:24 PM EDT

A tractor-trailer travels east early Wednesday afternoon on Arendell Street through downtown Morehead City headed to the N.C. Port of Morehead City with the first test shipment of a section used in the making of the Airbus A350 plane, manufactured by Spirit AeroSystems at the Global Transpark in Kinston. Carbon fiber midsections of the plane will come into the port and be shipped over to France for final assembly. This shipment included various smaller parts packaged in the container meant for the fuselage section and was basically a logistics test, according to port officials. (Dylan Ray photo)
