I have the new generation on my Trek 2.3 ! And have the same wheel on the
rear of my old bike! It has held up really well. I think it will hold up
well for you!

What rims do you have now. If Bontrager? They have gone back to the
conventional spoke pattern. Much stronger! If you have the paired spokes
an recently just started according to Don you have a couple to 3 or 4
months to ride. Possibly more!

Stress fractures in my rear wheel. Small now, but will grow into an
issue. I know, a lighter "engine" can prevent the situation. The
question for now is, what are the suggestions for replacement wheels?
Keep in mind that the bike is a 2007 Trek 2100, Ultegra, 105 mix and
that Lantrene Rouge is the rider.
