Bob L and Doc cruised a good recovery ride this morning in the cool and
relatively windless air. This being a true recovery ride instead of a CoWs
recovery ride, we started easy up Nash to Thompson Chapel, Sugar Hill and 97.
Doc upped the pace slightly on Old Bailey as we approached Potato Hill and we
did a leisurely climb up to Sandy Cross. The planned route was modified as we
skipped the turn at Vaughans Chapel and headed to Bones Cutoff and Volunteer
instead. Bones Cutoff was new to us but it is a nice smooth road with a slight
downhill. Volunteer dropped us out on 58 near the 95 bridge so we cruised back
to OSB via 58. It was a very nice 26 miles at a moderate 18.3 mph pace. A
great way to start off a Sunday.
