Holy COWS!!!! What a ride.

Observation. Every year at this time, few days before the Tour de
France the pace picks up but this is off the chart. Maybe everyone
really wants to be in the big ride.

Subject: [COWs] Wed Morning NASCAR ride report

The Sprint Cup NASCAR race started out at OSB at 6am with 5 hungry
riders. Jon said he wanted a 23+ ride today. Well, as the racers
pulled out of OSB Nick set the pace at well....FAST!!! DC, Dan, Turbo
Dan and Jon just trying to hold on. The racers figured out very early in
the ride that at this pace we would need to do shorter pulls then
normal. Everyone had very strong pulls and seemed to be on their game
today. I was very thankful we had 5 riders so I could have plenty of
drafting time. Everyone stayed together until I decided it would be a
good idea to pull out of the group about half way down Thompson Chapel
and sprint for the stop sign at 30+. Turbo Dan having non of this puts
the hammer down and passes me....yea passes me and I'm already doing
30+...ugh! it was all I could do to grab on to his wheel.

Back in the pits the group reorganizes to let our tires cool off a
little.

23.1 avg for 23miles

oh yea and it was raining for the last half of the ride....
