DC, NY Jon, and LR rolled out of OSB at 6:15 am. Clear morning with plenty of light. Dan joined up at Airport Blvd. The group did a "Blue Plate Special", Nash, Hornes Church, Old Smithfield, Graham-Brantley, Old Bailey Hwy, 97, Thompson Chapel and back in Nash. LR "passed on the grits" and cut off about two miles by turning off of Hornes Church onto Williams Rd then onto old Smithfield. The three NASCAR riders caught up to LR on 97 and passed but not for long. DC flats on the way to the I-95 overpass, a nice sliver of metal had worked its way through his tire. A tire change and off the group rolls to OSB.
LR had 22 miles at 20 avg. I would guess the NASCAR boys had 25+ at around 23. Great day to be on a bike!
