DC and LR...This may be a false alarm, but I saw a truck that matched your description.  It was a medium blue/green pickup parked at a trailer on the right side of Hornes Church just before Christian Road.  There is usually a white or light colored sedan at this trailer, but the pickup was with it tonight.  I don't know if it had wide tires, but they had raised white letters.  It may be a coincidence, but you may want to check it out.

The dumb a** was in a blue/green mid to late 80's Chevy regular cab truck.  white guy with very short hair cut, smoking a cigarette and look to have a tattoo on his left forearm wearing what looked to be shirt like a mechanic would wear….yes he was that close. I have been riding on the road for about 6 or 7 years now…I have had people come over like this before, but never this close head on.  He and I made eye contact and I’m pretty sure I could pick him out of a line up…..sure wish we could have gotten his plates.  If by chance any of you come across a truck matching this description please let me know where you see it….I will come see if it’s the truck. I know a highway patrol officer that comes to the Y everyday and sometimes rides his bike here with is son….he would have no problems going to question this guy I’m sure.
Great morning on the bike and glad we are still alive.

DC and LR, rolled out of OSB at 6:15 am into a cool clear morning with no wind.  Just after pulling out on to Nash St., NY Jon joins the group and the three begin a tempo ride, out Nash St and on to Hornes Church.  As we roll toward the I-95 overpass a solitary, older model, green pickup truck (Chevy I think) with wide tires, headed in the opposite direction begins to move to our side of the road.  DC raises his hand to get his attention, he sees usand keeps coming over.  He buzzes us too close for comfort.  We could not get the license plate as he was moving too fast right along with my heart rate.  No doubt this was deliberate.  Scary.
We roll on to Old Smithfield and turn left (away from the sandy part) on to Friday, and right on to what is actually Simms/Green Pond Rd.  We turn off to the left just before going over 264 on to Country Side (frontal road for 264), to Lamm Rd, Bloomery, Packhouse and back in on Nash St.  NY Jon turns on Airport and DC and LR continue on Nash and get buzzed by an older Cadillac as we approach Grace, this time from behind.  Oh boy, the crazies are out.  Is it a full moon or something
Great ride, 24.5 miles at a 21 average.  DC and Jon were merciful today and let me hang on.  Fantastic weather, fall is coming, and the clear skies rounded out a great morning.  A great way to start the day.
