The Short Story: I saw HP Kevin Woods at the Y working out Monday night around 6:00. I explained what had happened to me, Jon and LR early that morning and me again a few days later. (for those not up on this.a man in a older blue truck tried to run us off the road head on..very close call) I could see it in Kevin's face that he was not happy with what I was telling him and the more I talked the more upset he got. (Kevin rides his bike with his son to the Y most days) He said he was on duty that night and would sit on Hornes Church the next morning to see if the guy would be heading in to work. So Tuesday morning around 6:30 Kevin was parked at the church just before the 95 overpass and what do you know..blue truck matching the description. Woods gets in behind him and guess what...expired tags.great reason to pull the guy over. He questions the guy about the tags and the guys asked him "why are you really pulling me over?" so Kevin ask him about trying to run cyclists off the road..the guy never denied it only said Kevin could not prove it. Kevin said the guy was a really jerk and he told him that the cyclists could prove it and would be welling to take him to court. After that Kevin said the guy backed off a little. Kevin said he put the "fear of God" in this guy and he did not think he would be bothering us anymore..he also gave him a $200 ticket for the tags. Haha Now..Kevin did want to know if we wanted to press charges and he would be more then willing to go to the guys place of work and arrest him. I'm not sure I want to go to court over this, but if Jeff and Jon want to go forward with it we can talk more. We all need to thank Kevin for looking out for us and if you see him thank him in person. He said if we ever have any problems with this guy or others he would be happy to look into it. He is still riding but only for the pleasure of being out on the bike, no hammers, mostly solo or with Prafka. Had enjoyable ride around EC and the airport at conversation pace.
