RUSA has total distance medals you can apply for yearly but they only go up to 5,000 kilometers in which I got one last year. A couple of years ago the Texas randos created the K-hound trophy for 10,000 k's in which I already have. Then last year, Mark from Seattle rode 15,000 kilometers and collected a whole set of distance medals from RUSA and posted it on Facebook and now it's a new rando craze. (K-hound and a half) The medals are (5,000/4,000/3,000/2,000 & 1,000) If you knock down 15,000 you can apply for the whole set. I just made it a goal early in the year and never let up. It was insane, and I'll probably never play that game again. Most of it was a lot of fun and I've met and ridden with some very interesting and talented cyclist. That was the biggest reward.
