WILSON: Absolutely fabulous weather for January brought out a great herd of 16 riders (that is not a typo 16!) who gathered at DD for a 1:00 pm ride. It was great to see such a big turn out for the A and CC++ rides advertised Friday. With a 5 – 10 mph wind generally out of the south, the peloton rolled out to do the Black Creek Lucama ride, one of Nicks favorites. Rolling out, the group held together at a conversational pace for the first thirty minutes before splitting up into A and B rides. The B group divided briefly around Black Creek before linking up again just prior to the group rolling into Lucama. After a short stop at the store on 301, the group rolled on winding things up with a charge up Target Hill. Jim took the Polka Dot Jersey in true COWs fashion. A 30 mile ride with a 16+ avg. A great ride, great group and great day to be on a bike.
Looking for reports form the A ride. A hearty “welcome” goes out to all the new faces in the herd, we look forward to seeing you on a regular basis, and a big “welcome back” to those who have not ridden with us for awhile, don’t be so scarce. Cycling is getting exciting in Wilson. Sunday ride 2:00 pm at DD. Be there or be square. LR -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
