I think the only part of our ride that was NS was when it was my pull! Great ride! On Feb 15, 2012, at 3:19 PM, Tim Lucas wrote:What a great day for a bicycle ride! KP, Patti, Kim, Jim, Chris H. And I cruise from Red Oak Park to Taylor's Gin and on to Stuckeys. First 20 mile section had plenty of hills and headwinds. From there we traveled to Whitakers with a crosswind, then tailwinds to Leggett, home of Big Jim's, home of grandma's half pound brownie squares. I ate half a brownie, Jim, Kp & Chris worked on the other half. BTW, the pace was not NS. Everyone looked at KP when the subject came up! That's all I'm saying! From there we cruised to Battleboro into the wind. Kim leads us through the hardest section. From there it's a pleasant stroll back to Red Oak. A bit of chill at the start and a little breezy but it was a nice day on the asphalt. Thanks Jim for the post ride granola. We cruised 60 miles and averaged 18.5 mph. Because we didn't ride NS, KP and Patti didn't get their full 3.5 hours of training in so they struck out for another 20 min. stroll. I headed back to work and finished my brownie. I'll post today's route from the Garmin tonight from my home computer. I made a video from the ride today, but the file was to big for google to post it so I'll just put it on my Facebook.
