It's the only one that they have at Petsmart. It' a centronella spray. It dosen't have capsaicin in it so it dosen't harm the dog. They just don't like it when you spray them in the face with it.

The stuff must work well. Headed out today @ 4:45 with a well executed plan to beat the 5:00 traffic out of town. Going to do what I call the Friday Road loop. A 21 mile course that is a favorite for a short daylight ride. Out on 58 to Hornes Ch . After about a min. on Hornes Ch my Garmin beeps and powers down. I powered it back up, and it shows low battery and powers down again. Should have taken this as a sign, turned around and headed back home.......but I DIDN’T. Just before the store on HC, the white bull dog that we’ve seen several times before gave a pretty good chase. Was able to out run him without incidence. Just before Pearson’s Peak, I see a dog making a bee line for me from my left. Never seen him before. Go for my spray, and NAIL him right between the eyes. Feeling good about that hit, I make a left on Sims headed for Friday road. I know a weimaraner and a mutt live at the first trailer on the left. With spray in hand...., see ‘em coming. I slow down and absolutely cream the weimaraner. His buddy decided he wanted none of that and stopped dead in his track. With adrenaline and heart rate pretty high, I head for Old Smithfield Rd. About a mile down the road, I see a dog walking an idiot. They hear me coming and both turn and look. The idiot lets the leash extend all the way out, I have the slightest idea why, and of course the dog crosses the road in front of me. So, I have a dog on one side of the road, an idiot on the other side, connected by a leash which extends all the way across the road in front of me. I’ve slowed enough to successfully stop. “SORRY MAN” he says, and pulls the dog back to his side of the road. I should have pulled my spray and sprayed him. OK here we go. Only bad thing is that I know there is a black lab at the end of Friday Rd by Bailey foods. He is usually no problem. He sees me and heads my way. I encourage him not to run me. I actually tell him to sit, and he does. I can only shake my head and laugh. Rt on Old Smithfield. In the back of my head, I think about the German Shepard that lives several houses before the X-roads. He is pretty tough, but I haven’t seen him since late summer. As my luck would have it, oh yes.... by the mailbox laying on the SHOULDER of the road..... there he is! Again, I pull my spray and slow down. He doesn't seem too interested. I speak to him and I figure what the heck, I tell him to stay...and he does. Just watches me go by. Rt on Hornes Ch to Bloomery. Lt on Packhouse and I’m home, But wait a min, you have to be kidding. Just before the overpass by the Tob barnes, I see a huge black dog running full speed toward me from behind the greenhouse. Count them, that is # 8. For the millionth time today, I reach for my spray. I manage to launch a pretty good attack, but I’m going pretty fast an concentrate more on getting out of his way. Over 95 to Packhouse . Rt on 58, headed for home. Compared to the rest of the ride, the last three miles were pretty boring! Off to Petsmart tomorrow for another can of spray. And looking for a new 21 mile route. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
