Now for the rest of the story.
Bob L, Nick, Alan, Chris, Doc, Ronnie and I left DD for the aforementioned
Pinetops route. A frisky group it was, with many hill attacks except when
the general was pulling his vicious pace on the rollers kept everyone at
bay. Doc needed to go to work and I was running out of gas so we pulled off
on hwy111/122 and cruised into Pinetops. A 20 something black guy looked at
Doc and said man you be old. He asked how old we were and Doc told him and
again man you be old. That was all the motivation it took cruised in from
Pinetops at 20/22 for a total. Ride of 48 miles with a 20.2 avg.

thanks to Ronnie's strategy of "pace Bob". The successful reverse breakaway
took hold just outside of Wilson near 301; note the drastic drop in speed.
I'm not sure why I have a longer distance or similar average speed even
though I fell back at the end.
