Wow, 12 riders cruise out 58 from Wilson this evening. Jennifer, Susan, Pete, James, Beamon, D. Williams, Wally, Dale. Vino, Surfdude, Brian G. and I. Packhouse, Bloomery, HC, Old Smithfield, Flat Rock, Marsh Swamp and Old Raleigh for 26.5 miles. A very good moderate pace that kept the entire group together until I coaxed BG into a little shake down on Marsh Swamp Rd. (A long slightly downhill stretch) Sitting on BG's wheel at 30 mph just getting in a free ride today. (Rookie!) We take a break on the bus seats at Stotts x-roads while we regroup and catch our breath. Wally then works us hard down Old Raleigh and Vino leads us down Airport on the leadout to Target Hill. Dale gets the polka dot jersey on col-de-target. I just couldn't reel him in. Another great day of riding. This has been an awesome week to ride. Perfect temps and light winds for most of the week. BC riding at 7:00am Saturday!
