Clint and LR could not resist trying to get a daybreak ride in one more time. So once again the pair gathered at DD at 6:00 and....sadly....it was dark. We waited till 10 past before rolling out to mostly clear skies but still a bit too dark, so we decided to roll easier in an effort to make the ride last. Today we rode the point out Nash St to Hornes Church. We pass our good friend in the blue truck who saluted us with the international "high sign". Our Hornes Church to Pearsons Peak, around the peak back in on Bloomery, Packhouse and in on Nash St. One close brush form a late model blue pickup truck (we seem to have issues with those) on Packhouse otherwise a very quiet ride. Today was especially nice with the sun coming up and patches of fog rolling across the landscape painting a very nice picture of Wilson County. 17 miles steady 19.5 avg.
Birdman rolls up at DD as we finish asking if he "over slept" and sporting a brand new Postal Saddle making his bike look new again. A brief exchange and Birdman rolls out to his morning sojourn while Clint and LR head to work. Clint was on his game today, strong pulls and good work on the rollers. The herd will be looking for him on the Saturday and Sunday rides. LR will miss the Daybreak rides but alas it will come again next spring. Running picks up a notch beginning Thursday morning. A great way to start the day! LR -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
