I went to Hickory today to meet my brother for Brett’s Ride for Rhabdomyosarcoma (children’s cancer). I learned of this ride a couple years ago when my son was at Lenoir Rhyne University and always planned to ride it with him. That didn’t work out, but my brother and I met to support the cause. This is a fantastic ride that is well organized and has a really fun route...if you like climbing. Some of the hills were short and steep, but most were 0.5 to 4 miles long with shallow grades (up to 4%). I highly recommend this ride.
I’ve attached the Garmin report from the ride, but I don’t believe the elevation change was 3891 feet. I’ve asked my brother to confirm/correct based on his Garmin. Anyway, we finished the 56 miles with a 16.8 average. There was a thunderstorm about 2 hours before the ride, but no rain during the ride. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/231156834 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
